The policy is a response to the discrimination and systematic subordination that still characterises everyday life for countless women and girls all over the world.

It has been called ‘the Left Party’ since 1990, but the first foundations of the party were laid already in 1917.

Sweden's pioneering feminist party has been eliminated in Europe after a full four fifths of its voters deserted it, leaving it far below the requirements for a seat in European Parliament.
